History:

A strong history of safe, efficient and superior workmanship!
Laari Construction was co-founded in 1979 by Sulo Laari and Aki Tarvudd. As head supervisor for Kahkonen Construction through the 60’s and 70’s, Sulo established lasting relationships with both major mines in Sudbury, Vale (formerly Inco) and Xstrata (formerly Falconbridge). It was through these relationships and years of experience that Laari Construction  was immediately accepted onto the major mines in Sudbury, with Aki cutting his teeth in the field working as General Foreman.
Aki moved on to take over the company in the late 80’s. His son Joel Tarvudd began working at Laari in the summers, while attending university for his business degree. Joel now oversees all of the company’s projects as its President, with Aki close by as Chief Executive Officer.
Laari Construction prides itself on a history of safe, efficient and superior workmanship.
Always environmentally conscious, Laari’s team of dedicated professionals bring a wealth of comprehensive knowledge and experience to every project that we undertake.

Giving Back:

We realize that everything we build enhances our community in some way.
Our community engagement initiatives are employee driven and supported by corporate involvement.
